Mariah Cochran (she/her) is a self-taught multidisciplinary artist based in Los Angeles, California. Her work explores how presenting the self through styling, dress, and performance can expand narratives of Black identity and deepen self-awareness. Mariah’s art practice has been essential in her process of finding new ways of being that honor our collective humanity and personal autonomy. She uses fiber and textile art and mixed media collage to highlight connections between self-representation, body awareness, and healing.

Mariah received her BA at the University of California, Berkeley, and an MFA in Social and Environmental Arts Practice at Prescott College.
